Heart disease is still the Number 1 killer of women, taking the life of one in three women each year.  This is especially important for African-American women who are at increased risk due to factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity and diabetes.

Please join Theta Epsilon Omega Chapter and thousands of others on Friday, February 4, 2011 on National Wear Red Day as "Pink Goes Red" for a day.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. has joined forces with the American Heart Association's Go Red for Women movement to celebrate National Wear Red Day.

The mission of National Wear Red Day is to raise awareness and funds in the fight against heart disease in women.  Make it your mission to wear the color red on Friday, February 4th.
